The next thing you can do is start living a more active lifestyle. So don’t worry about joining a gym just yet. When you get home from work today go and take a little bike ride. Go for a walk with your significant other on a trail or around the neighborhood. Get together with your friends and play a game of basketball. Just by doing this you’ll build up endurance and lose weight.
1) You will need to set goals for yourself and have a plan. You see, without having a goal or following a plan, nothing is possible and you might not succeed. Therefore, it’s imperative that you set goals for yourself! Before starting a workout routine, sit down and make up a plan as to what types of exercises you want to be doing. Also, plan to what you will be eating as you’re working towards your weight goal. Important too is to have an idea of exactly how much weight you are aiming to lose. This is important so that you don’t over work yourself and that you won’t place unachievable demands on yourself.
Traditional Thanksgiving food items weren’t all created equal – nutritionally that is. Roasted white turkey meat (without skin) is a great source of lean protein. Vegetable dishes (without added fats) are also very healthy. On the other hand, buttery mashed potatoes, white bread rolls, cream based dishes, and heavy gravy are all packed with fat and calories. Fill your stomach with the healthy items first – white turkey meat and plenty of vegetables. Then simply ‘sample’ the less healthy items in small portions. This is so easy to do, save you lots of extra calories, and you don’t have to feel like you are denying yourself, either.
So, with just a few basic ingredients on hand you can be on your way to a healthy 5 minute breakfast with virtually no clean up afterwards. And don’t forget, lower cholesterol, healthier heart, stabilized blood glucose and improved digestion.
General Mills Milk and Cereal Bars come in a few different varieties. You can get a variety pack of Honey Nut Cheerios, Cocoa Puffs, and Cinnamon Toast Crunch, or just get a box of any of these three individually. I prefer the variety pack, because then you can have whatever flavor you feel like that morning.
Put in bowls and add salt and pepper to taste. You can break up the bacon or sausage and add to the soup as you eat it or have it separate. This may not be the most healthy breakfast but is is one of the best you will ever have. It has been an instant hit to everyone I have served it to and they always came back for seconds.
Again, you need to add protein in all meals. The easiest way to have proteins for lunch is to store leftovers from last nights dinner. Chicken chunks and pieces of fish, all are great sources of proteins. Just add them in your lunch over salads.
I’ll be willing to bet you are overweight. Most of us are. Whether it’s a few extras pounds or a whole bunch, we’re fat. The fast food giants and junk-food manufacturers spend billions convincing us to eat their food. Even the so-called reduced fat kind are filled with calories. So we just eat more of those anyway, thinking we are cheating the scale. Restaurant portions are huge and my wife and I usually bring half home. But the rest of you don’t. So, what am I saying here? I’m saying that you have to stop whining and do something before you end up like my wife and mother. If not, you’ll get heart problems, cause liver or kidney damage, retain clogged arteries and as a result, produce a shortened lifespan.
